Becoming Stronger Through Hard Times
Hard-times every now and then will appear in our lives but is not always we will be able to deal with it. Knowing how to deal and manage hard times is something that all of us should know.
In this article, I will share with you how I managed to survive, and leave the worst nightmare I had in my life. So, if you are looking for some advice, this should be the best post for you today.
Measure what you can and what you can’t handle
During hard times you may feel that the world is above your shoulders and you can’t do anything. You feel helpless by asking yourself how you can leave this kind of situation as soon as possible.
I remember that I had nothing; losing everything. I had only a bag with a few pieces of clothes and that’s all. Feeling helpless, and trying to help my self to get out of that situation.
Fortunately, I had read a book called “Stop Worrying And Start Living” by Dale Carnegie. This book helped me a lot to manage hard times and stress.
Once I find a place to live I prepare myself to get out of that situation.

I was in the hell, at the bottom of well as we say in Brazil.
Also, I was in this situation and wasn’t able to go anywhere, the only thing I had to do was to climb back up.
I saw this situation to learn and also UNDERSTAND I could do anything about, cry or scream would not change my current situation.
Not ACCEPTING the current situation is the primary step for you to change.
Once I put my both feet on the ground in emotional terms, I see what I MUST have to change. When you are passing through a bad situation you should evaluate around what you can and what you can’t handle and then go to the next step.
After you already have emotionally recovered and evaluated your options.
You must prepare your action plan. I was f***d up but after these steps. I figured out how to leave that hole and believe I could change my life.
Hard times are the best for personal growth
Hard times are often the worst times in our lives, it can be a loss of a business, end of a relationship, a death of a loved one, or even all of them together, that was my case. You should not lay down over your sorrows, you must stand up and prepare a new and happy life, I promise you can because I did it.
Despite all the hard times and full level of stress, you should first put your mind to work again as I described on the topic above.
If you’re going through hell, keep going.
Once you’ve done all I have described above you should build your goals to get out of this hole. Creating goals are crucial for life changes and of course to reach your success. You must have goals and tasks to climb back from that horrible situation.
You will witness everything against you, emotional fallbacks and even everybody against you but you will have to keep going. My personal advice would be for you to solve the easiest and more obvious tasks. For example, my situation was to pay my company suppliers.
That was my number one focus I knew I was able to go anywhere without paying them so I did not lose time when I start acting. I remember that my work ethic grew exponentially. My thirst to change was so high I was apt to work eighteen hours per day to pay for all of them.
You should understand that although everything is against you, hard times can teach you good things that will make you grow. I learned how to increase my work ethic. How to improve my emotional situation and how to keep going even when everything was collapsing.
Hard-times are made to change us for good if we do not die during the process of course.
However, if you examine throughout the history, you will realise that we human beings are always passing through hard times. When we pass through it, looking back we can identify how strong and smart we became.
Check yourself, use examples such as the first and the second world war. You will see that without them many things we are capable today would not exist.
Getting your life back on track
Now, once you already have done all the steps I mentioned above. Prepare yourself physically and emotionally to pass through and cross this hard situation, be patience.
You will notice yourself coming out from this bad position. Give your best to pass through it. In my case, I paid for all of my supplies and after that, I managed to save money to go to another country to study English and start a business degree.
I remember that everyone was thinking I was broke and with nothing, also I would be on that situation for years. However, after two years and hard work, I was back with no debt and emotionally firm as a rock. Nobody remembered where I was until they know I was no longer in Brazil.
You too have to believe you will reverse your current situation. You will have to work hard, be focused and be firm as a rock. Once you witness you pass through all the bad times, you will look back and see how hard you were capable to work and how strong you became.
When you evolve and become strong, you will see how different you are. How easy you can deal with difficult problems in which other people could not solve. You will become emotionally stable and depression will no longer be or become an issue in your life.
Now, take back your life on track and prepare to climb the hole back if you are at the bottom and passing through difficult moments. Remember to get your mind stable and see you can pass through it.
